Milton Nomads FC

Milton Nomads and Worle Rangers have merged together to create a pathway into adult football for under-16s, ensuring there is a supported pathway into adult football.

Established in 1969, Milton Nomads are the oldest “not-for-profit” Junior Football Club in North Somerset. The founders set up the club to provide the opportunity for the enjoyment of competitive and recreational football for all ages interested in playing football in Milton and the surrounding locality.

The Club’s objective shall remain in perpetuity to provide a safe place, where young people can come together, learn, and develop. Nomads respect the rights, dignity and worth of every person and treat each equally within the context of the sport, placing the well-being and safety of each player above all other considerations, including the development of performance.

Friday night, Rangers came together to celebrate the end of another fantastic season at our annual awards presentation, held at Allstars Sports Bar in Weston-super-Mare. A huge thank you to our wonderful sponsors at Allstars for hosting such a brilliant evening. The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was great, and everyone had a wonderful time. The evening featured some heartfelt speeches, including recognition for the committee members whose hard work and dedication helped make both the event and the season such a success. We also took a moment to thank our outstanding Chairman, Knighty, for his tireless commitment and leadership in guiding our beloved Blues throughout the year. Now for the awards! Club Person of the Year This year's award was thoroughly deserved and was presented to the wonderful Sonja Hammond. As one of our incredible Welfare Officers, Sonja goes above and beyond for Rangers, dedicating countless hours to supporting our players, members, and club community. Her hard work, commitment, and invaluable contributions make a huge difference behind the scenes, and we are delighted to see her recognised with our top honour. 🏆 Most Improved Player of the Season 2025/26 🏆 Congratulations to Eli, our Most Improved Player of the Season 👏 This was one of the toughest awards to decide this season, with so much progress shown across the squad both on and off the pitch. However, Eli’s development stood out to all of the coaches. Having been between the sticks for the majority of the season, Eli has shown outstanding progress, particularly in the second half of the campaign. Finishing the season with 4 clean sheets, Eli has not only improved their goalkeeping ability, but also shown real growth in mentality and resilience after a challenging start to the season. A thoroughly deserved winner – congratulations, Eli! 💙 Eli is available for sponsorship across the 2026/27 Season. If you’re interested in sponsoring Eli, please get in touch. We thank The Boathouse for sponsoring this award.

🏆 Golden Boot 🏆 We're starting off with an award we didn't physically hand out on Friday night, but it's just as important to our players. Congratulations to Laura on winning our Golden Boot, sponsored by The Boathouse, for the 2025/26 season! Laura finished the campaign with an impressive 8 goals in 9 appearances, delivering crucial goals in key moments throughout the season. Despite suffering an injury early on and missing the latter part of the campaign after the New Year, she still finished as our top! We can’t wait to see what she brings next season! 👏 As a team, we scored 27 goals this season, with 10 different players getting on the scoresheet — a brilliant team effort from start to finish. 💪 A huge thank you to John Hodge Solicitors for sponsoring Laura this season. Laura is now available for sponsorship for the 2026/27 season. If you’re interested in supporting her next season, please get in touch!

One of our own! The incredible Emily Knight (yes of the rangers famous Knight family!) is doing something amazing for a very good cause. She's raising money for our friends at Weston Hospicecare and donating her hair to the Little Princess Trust who make wigs for people going through cancer. We're so proud of you Emily! www.justgiving.com/page/emily-knight-07

As some of you might know, one of the players from our ladies team has been growing their hair for a while in preparation for their sponsored haircut for Weston Hospicecare - the hair is used for wigs for those that need it, that have lost their hair from cancer treatment. The hair gets donated to the Little Princess trust - she has donated to this trust before, from a previous hair cut around 5 years ago, where she raised around £300. All money raised this time will go to Weston Hospicecare. The hospice means a lot to Emily as her Grandad had a lot of support from them leading up to his recent passing and we know that all sponsorship helps - only 20% of their funding comes from the government. The hospice provides free care to people with life-limiting illnesses and their families throughout the local communities in our area. They support patients with cancer and any other life-limiting illness, such as Parkinson's Disease and Motor Neurone Disease. So many of us have lost people we're close to to cancer, and other life-limiting illnesses. Emily and her brother, Harry, have now lost 3 grandads to cancer, it continually affects families right through our communities. Please help Emily to help the hospice by donating here https://shorturl.at/o2jxf - no amount is too small (or large! 😉x). She promises she'll run faster in her next game for her teammates! Thanks everyone 💙 x

COACHES APPRECIATION POST! A post on behalf of the players: This season may have brought a bit of a restructure to our coaching staff, but one thing that’s never changed is the hard work, dedication, and support shown to us by these incredible people. A huge thank you to: Gary - who stepped up as Head Coach mid-way through the season and pushed the squad to secure 3rd place in the league table! Liv - who's new role as player and assistant coach has been of great support to Gary over the last few months. And of course to Ross - our 'new' Assistant Coach! He continues to bring his wealth of knowledge and support to Gary and Liv as we continue to move forward as a team following the restructure across our coaching team. We also wish to thank Hugh 'Grandad' Gudge for his goal keeping coaching at the beginning of the season. These people are not just amazing volunteers. They are our friends, our therapists, our kit washers, our first aiders, and sometimes the butt of some pretty rubbish jokes at training! Through every training session, matchday, and tough moment, they have continued to guide and support us as a squad, and we honestly couldn’t do it without you. From every single player at Worle Rangers Ladies, thank you for everything you do for this team. We appreciate you all more than words can say 💙💙💙

A simple post, but an important one 💙⚽ The coaches at Worle Rangers Ladies would like to say a huge thank you to all of our sponsors from this past season. Whether you sponsored our shirts, supported one of our players, provided post-match food and drinks, or helped us replace and provide equipment, your support has made a real difference. Quite simply, without your generosity, we wouldn’t be able to give our ladies the opportunity to play the game they love — and for that, we are incredibly grateful. The Boathouse | The Summerhouse Pub | TNT Sports | Giulio’s Gelato | Mendip Spring | Allstars Sports Bar Weston-s-Mare | Daisychain Child Care | John Hodge Solicitors | SKIN by Andreea | Twisted - Creative Design with a Twist | Lew's Barber Shack A special thank you also goes to Ian, who has run the line for us all season. A true unsung hero of Rangers Ladies! Thank you, Ian — and don’t forget your boots for next season 👀⚽ Finally, thank you to every player who has pulled on the Rangers shirt this season, and to everyone who has come down to support us week in, week out. The Firsts welcomed Timsbury Athletic to the Langford pitch on Saturday. A difficult afternoon after going 1-0 first but we couldn't find the goals in the second half meaning Timsbury took the 3 points back home. Attentions turn to the last game of the season to make sure we secure our place in County football again next season ! MOTM went to TOM DYSON for his efforts throughout the match. Season Review: March/April Everyone will remember the weather in February so we’ll skip all the way through to March where we played 3 games again, against 2 different opponents. Rangers had back-to-back games against Weston Celtic which were won 1-0 and 2-0 respectively. Both games were evenly contested again but Rangers managed to take their chances in both games. These 2 games took us on a run of 3 wins in a row. Unfortunately, that winning run couldn’t be extended against Paulton Rovers Development. A team that had gained their first point of the season the week before and was full of confidence took the game to Rangers. Paulton went 1-0 up midway through the 2nd half but Rangers managed to score with virtually the last kick of the game. A month later, Rangers faced Burnham in the final game of the season. A game that had nothing riding on it due to already securing 3rd place in the table, it was a chance to try a new formation and some players in different positions. Despite a good showing against a very good Burnham side, Rangers fell to an 8-0 defeat. Every Rangers player who has put on a Rangers shirt this season can be proud of what they’ve accomplished this season. Progress made on last season, both on and off the pitch.

Season Review: Dec/Jan November was a frustrating one, with no games played due to abandonments — so all focus quickly turned to a busy December schedule. December saw us take on two familiar opponents across three fixtures. We kicked things off with a 4-2 win over Sporting Weston Vixens in a highly competitive game, full of chances at both ends and strong performances from both goalkeepers. Next up was our second meeting of the season with Berrow Ladies. It was far from straightforward, with Berrow starting brightly, but two stunning long-range strikes from Rangers secured a fourth consecutive win We then returned to face Sporting Weston, who produced a strong display to bring our winning run to an end. Despite the result, there were plenty of positives to take, leaving us in a good place heading into the Christmas break. January brought just two fixtures before the weather stepped in. First, a tough away trip to eventual champions Clevedon Town. Rangers showed great determination and grew into the game, but despite the effort, couldn’t quite overturn the early deficit, with the game finishing 3-1. An improvement on the fixture earlier in the season. This was the final game for the coaching team that started the season. Hugh decided to retire from coaching and Ross decided to take a step back and swap roles with Gary. Liv also came on board as a Player/Coach. A couple of weeks after the Clevedon game, we bounced back well against Weston Mendip in difficult conditions. A solid, controlled performance saw Rangers lead 2-0 at half time. Although we conceded early in the second half, the team responded brilliantly, adding a third to seal a well-deserved victory Resilience, response, and real progress — plenty to build on as the season continued

⚽ALL LEVEL FOR THE 1ST'S⚽ The firsts came away with just the 1 point in bank holiday Mondays fixture @ Banwell Fc. The football was end to end but neither side could find the winning goal ! The lads turn their attention to the next match this Saturday. MOTM went to Luke Grindle 👏 ⚽UPTHERANGERS⚽

Season Review: Sept/Oct The season kicked off with a real mixed bag of results, but plenty of positives to build on! September began with a tough away trip to Berrow Ladies. It was a closely fought contest, with Rangers controlling large spells of the game — but despite creating chances, we couldn’t quite find the finishing touch and started the season off with a loss. Next up, we were in Cup action at home against Division 2 side Bishops Lydeard Reserves. Rangers put in a strong first-half performance, going 2-0 up with two quality goals before the visitors battled back to level things up, sending the game to penalties — where Rangers held their nerve to win 4-2. October brought a busy and challenging run of fixtures. Early tests against Burnham United and eventual champions Clevedon Town proved tough, but the squad showed real character and resilience, never letting their heads drop and continuing to push forward together. That positive team spirit paid off in the final games of the month, with impressive wins over league newcomers Weston Mendip and Paulton Rovers Development — 7-1 and 4-0. Scorelines that reflected not just quality, but the hard work and commitment of every single Rangers player Plenty learned, plenty achieved — and the foundations firmly set for what was to come…

📊 Final League Table Confirmed 📊 After the last round of fixtures, the final standings are in! Unfortunately, we ended the season with a defeat so couldn’t close the gap to 2nd place, but what a season for Rangers. We secured a Top 3 finish a few weeks ago, but results elsewhere kept things incredibly tight right through the middle of the table — a real testament to how competitive the league has been this season. 👏 Congratulations to Clevedon Town on winning the league. They pushed us hard in both fixtures and are fully deserving champions. It’s been a fantastic, hard-fought season, and we’re already looking forward to going again… roll on September! 📝 We’ll be taking a closer look back at the season over the next week, starting this Sunday — keep your eyes peeled!

Despite the result, some outstanding performances across the squad made these decisions difficult to make for the last game of the season! Players Player of the Match, once again, goes to Amy for her outstanding performance on the pitch but also for stepping in goal following an injury. Amy managed to clear away a number of balls that came into the box, keeping the score line lower. Coaches Player of the Match goes to Chloe. Chloe completed her first 90 minutes of the season and didn't look out of place, getting the ball down the left wing a number of times, holding the ball up and didn't look out of place at all. A shout out also needs to go to Liv who took control in the dugout for the first time on Sunday due to some last minute unavailability between the coaches. Well done Liv!

7

Rangers 0 Burnham 8 Rangers undefeated streak came to an end on the final game of the season against a strong Burnham side. Rangers ended up having a bare 11 due to late unavailability and, combined with the heat, made it a difficult afternoon. Rangers held their own until late in the first half when they conceded the first goal. The second half started in the same way, but tired legs took their toll and the goals rolled in throughout the half. Despite the scoreline, everyone in Rangers can hold their heads up high for the effort today!

3

We have a record breaker amongst the ranks! Huge shoutout to our newest signing Phil Hockey, for clinching "Donkey of the Day" in record time. Phil managed to sub on, make one sprint, and snap a hamstring all within 5 minutes of his debut. It wasn't exactly the debut we planned, but Phil has taken it in his stride (well, his one good stride) He might be sidelined for a bit, but he’s already a club legend in our eyes. Heal up quick, Phil! 🦵💥
