Club History
Worle Rangers FC was established in 2009 by a small group of friends mixed with some talented youngsters looking to enjoy their football again. The team then entered the local Weston & District district league playing our home matches at Hutton Moor leisure centre. With incredible support from local sponsors and our passionate chairman, the club started to grow each season.
We now look back proudly and fondly on 15 seasons as a club, 12 of which with a reserve side and 5 seasons with a third team whilst also having started up a veterans team too. Between the 3 Saturday sides the club has achieved 9 promotions, 3 of which as divisional champions and 4 cup finals, 1 of which as winners.
We have had some recent seasons of consolidation, but the stability these have given us are key as we’ve maintained 4 competitive teams and now have a keen and loyal playing squad backed by passionate and steadfast managers. For our 15th season the first team are currently in division 3 of the Somerset County League, the Reserves team are in division 2 of the Weston-super-Mare & District League and the A team are in division 4.
The Veterans will be going into their fourth season of the Somerset Legends League.
New ofr 2024/25 we have entered the Somerset County Women’s Football League and have compiled a squad rich in both youth and experience!
